Crow Warrior
by Mari Bolen
    The Mountain Crow, or Absaroka,
were typically found in the Yellowstone
Valley. they were considered to be the
most colorful Nation and the most
accomplished horsemen. The
high-standing forelock and "bow-tie"
hairpieces are the most outstanding
features of a Crow man. The intricate
beadwork and shells, courtesy of their
trading partners, the Nez Perce, also
marked their regalia as Crow.
