Michele Kapor is one of the premier landscape
artists in the mountain west. Her work has been
noted in national, private and local shows. Her
commission work for "Site Specific" paintings are
in great demand because she evokes the mood
and sense of place the collector feels for a
favorite mountain, a long-forgotten stream, a
friendly fishing hole or the wonderful freshness
of a vacation spot.
Michele's paintings, whether in oils or pastels,
are done in the style of the old masters....on
stretched raw linen. Her classical training is
evident in the masterful use of color, light and
shadow. Each painting is done in 4 to 8 layers
for the wonderful depth for which she is known.
Many recognize her style immediately and her
buyers are located in every state.
Michele Kapor was born into a ranching family in

traveler and has spent many hours studying the
various moods and lighting of landscapes all
over the globe. Her career has taken her from
the Bay Area of California back to her roots in
Montana where she now resides and works from
her home studio. Some of her most recent shows
include the Montana Land Reliance Show,
Bigfork, the Treasure State Invitational Art Show
2000, the Settler's West Annual Miniature
Americana Show, Tucson and many others
throughout her 24 year career. She is

Artist's statement:
"Color, light and mood are the three things I try to master in my paintings. the range of color in pure pastel, from the most muted tones to the brightest, is ideal for studying the enormous variety of landscapes. Mixing colors in oil paints blends the colors of a landscape into a rich quality. Each painting leads on to the next in a continuous journey of learning"
